Weekend #5
Pre Event info
October 6th-9th, 2022
Halifax County, VA

Hello everyone in the Berg Brigade,

This weekend, I am heading to Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for the penultimate weekend of the F4 U.S. Championship Powered by Honda. As some of you may have heard, I will be the lone Doran-Kroll Competition Car, but that does not stop us from getting the results we deserve.

For those of you who don’t know, VIR is the only track on the F4 Calendar that I have had prior race experience. The last time we were at VIR was in March of this year, for the first round of the Spec MX-5 Challenge, in which I took pole (twice) and was able to snag my first win of the season.

I have been using the MySim.CA Pro Model simulator to practice the track since our last race at New Jersey Motorsports Park. I feel quick and confident, and I am very excited heading into this weekend.

Virginia can be very pretty this time of year, as the fall dawns upon us, leaves turn red and yellow and brown, and for those who have been to VIR, you will know that it is a racetrack in the forest. It will be nice to have some scenery this weekend.

The Doran-Kroll Competition team will include my engineer, Brandon Reed, and mechanic, Jesse James. It certainly will feel a little strange not having any teammates, but I have dealt with that issue in the past, and it will only make me work harder off track for my results. I have learned so much being a single-car campaign in F4, and in Spec MX-5 that, in a way, I am happy to have had this opportunity to grow and learn as a driver.

We will be on track on Thursday, as well as Friday, for Official Practice. You can watch me race live this weekend on the official F4 U.S. Championship YouTube Channel (I will link this on MailChimp).

Race #1: 8:40 AM on Saturday
Race #2: 1:50 PM on Saturday
Race #3: 9:30 AM on Sunday
