Hello, everyone in the Berg Brigade,

I am currently sitting 35,000ft in the air, writing this newsletter on my phone. I am heading to New Jersey Motorsports Park for race event 4 of 6 of the F4 U.S. Championship Powered by Honda.

I’ve never been to New Jersey and, obviously, NJMP. But I have put in many hours on my MySim.CA simulator to learn the track as much as possible beforehand. The sim allows me to change the setup on the car, just like in real racing. Yesterday, me and my engineer, Brandon Reed, I developed many setup ideas using MySims.

For those of you who don’t know NJMP, it is a high-speed track with lots of blind corners and elevation changes! With nine right-hand corners and three left-handers, we will have a total of 13+ shifts per lap for a potential total of roughly 300+ in a full race distance.

After doing some self-analysis and a short break from the racetrack, I am more than ready to hop in my Doran-Kroll Competition/Penn Elcom Ligier JSF4 car!

As always, my races will be streamed on the F4 U.S. YouTube channel and the SpeedTour TV YouTube channel.

All my session times are as follows:

Friday:
9:25 AM EST – Test
11:05 AM EST – Test
2:45 PM EST – Official practice

Saturday:
11:30 AM EST – Qualifying
12:30 PM EST – Fan Walk
3:00 PM EST – Race #1

Sunday:
9:30 AM EST – Race #2
1:10 PM EST – Fan walk
1:40AM EST – Race #3

If you read my previous newsletter, you will know that this is the second of three consecutive weekends of racing for me. I will be sending out a newsletter after the final race on my three-week tour with a recap of how all the events went!

Cheers!
Alex Berg

Gytis Kupinas (pictured left), will be working on my car this weekend! This photo was taken on Wednesday afternoon at 5 PM (load-in day). Cars were allowed in the paddock at 7, so Gytis and I went to get dinner. And he let me drive his Porsche Boxster!
