Pretty amazing to experience the Daytona International Speedway for the very first time!
Hello, everyone in the Berg Brigade,
This weekend’s race will complete my 3-race, back-to-back-to-back weekend tour at Daytona International Speedway, where I’ll be competing in the final round of the Spec MX-5 Challenge South Region Championship Presented by Toyo tires!
I am very excited to be heading to Daytona for the second time in my life. I have never driven on the 31-degree banked tri-oval, and it is a dream of mine to run there, so I am in for a treat this weekend!
I go into the final round of the South Championship tied in points for 1st with fellow Georgian Grant West. With Don Squirek sitting P3 in the standings, it will certainly be a close Championship Race!
Not only will this be an exciting Championship decider, but it will also be at one of the best racetracks in the country (the best, in my opinion). The results this weekend will come down to who is best at drafting and making the right calls on strategy and race craft. So, we will have to be on our top form.
