Alexander Berg

Car Racer

My name is Alex Berg. I am 15 years old, born and raised in Calgary, AB, Canada. I now live in Buford, Georgia.

My father, Allen Berg, raced in F1 in 1986, and made his career in racing. In all his lifetime, Allen has been involved with racing, and therefore ever since I was born, like father, like son, I have naturally always been surrounded by racing,
In Christmas of 2014, I received my first go-kart, and in May of 2015, I did his first race, finishing 2nd, out of 20 drivers.

My biggest achievement of my career was when I earned a spot on the Mazda Motorsports USA Factory Team to race in the Spec MX-5 Challenge series.
I speak 3 languages having gone to a French immersion school for 6 years. I speak English as my primary language with my father and speaks Spanish with my mother.

I was selected by eKartingNews.com as one of the 18 best kart racers in North America to participate in a Mazda Motorsports USA Factory Team Scholarship Shootout. The prize of being selected was to be a Mazda Motorsports USA Factory Team driver and to compete next year in the Mazda Spec MX-5 Challenge with the Mazda Factory Team. Myself, the youngest driver, and the only Canadian driver to be chosen for the shootout.

Out of the 18 drivers, I earned 1 out of the 2 spots on the team and raced in this past season (2021) for the Mazda Motorsports USA Factory Team in the Spec MX-5 Challenge. Finishing 2nd in my championship, with 3 wins and 5 podiums!

Not only I have accomplished that in my first year of car racing. But I have also brought along many partners along the way, including Penn Elcom (Orange County, CA) DAE Systems (Claremont, NC), Jevitty (Vancouver, BC), MySim (Toronto, ON).

I am working to create business-to-business mutually beneficial partnerships to create more marketing value for my partners.
Most recently, I made my pro racing debut in MX-5 Cup at the 2021 Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and had the top 10 paces. Many things are in the works for the future. My life goal is to be a racing driver of any kind, like my father.

I have experience in multiple different types of sports cars and formula cars, a list which includes:

Tatuus Formula Renault 1600
Mazda Spec Miata
Mazda Spec MX-5
Mazda MX-5 Cup Car
Piper Honda F1600
Spectrum Honda F1600
